Your voice matters in Yolo County and this June, your vote does too.

YOLO COUNTY VOTEs.

Young people ages 18–24 have the power to shape decisions that directly impact their future: housing affordability, education, mental health resources, public transportation, climate policy, reproductive rights, and community safety. Yet across California and the country, young voters consistently have some of the lowest turnout rates at the polls. In the 2024 election, voter turnout among 18–24-year-olds nationally was only about 48%, despite young people being one of the largest generations affected by policy decisions.

That’s why Department of Sound and Yolo County are partnering to encourage young voters to show up, speak up, and make their voices count in the June 2, 2026 Statewide Direct Primary Election.

Local elections matter. Decisions made right here in Yolo County affect everyday life in Davis, Woodland, West Sacramento, Winters, and surrounding communities; from local funding and education to transportation, housing, and community programs. This election includes local races and measures that will help shape the future of our county.
